About FITE!
Alana made FITE! years ago but everyone's forgotten what it was about, so she and Andrew decided to redo it from scratch with a fresh competitive ethos. It is both a test of illustrative skill and imagination; dexterity and pugilistic instinct.
How Does it Work?
- Each promoter is assigned a wrestler to draw. They have one week to complete their drawing.
- Each promoter then emails their wrestler to Andrew. This wrestler is pitted blindly against a competing promoter’s wrestler. You won’t know whom you are competing against, or what their drawing looks like. Such is the world of professional wrestling: the unexpected; living in the present; the infinite tabula rasas each new week presents.
- The drawings, as well as a thrilling commentary of the match written by published wrestling commentator Andrew, are posted on FITE! for general commentary. (Having the crowd/Internet on your side will result in a slightly better score, so promote your wrestler!)
- The winner of the matchup proceeds to the next elimination round(s) until a victor is declared.
- Prizes are dispersed.
Extraordinary Prizes and Fun for the Whole Family
The winner of FITE! will receive a pair of gold lamé leggings from American Apparel. These leggings were made in the good old US of A and will enable one to start their wrestling career off in fine style. Second prize will be one year’s subscription to Cat Fancy Magazine. The third-place contender will receive a signed original drawing of a wrestler, handsomely matted, by an esteemed mystery artist.
